How Long Is the Program?
A Graduate Diploma of Psychology (Advanced) requires 16 months of part-time study. This matches the commitment of an honours year in Australia. Typically, psychology honours includes four coursework subjects in the first semester. It ends with a dissertation in the second.
The program at UTS follows this structure. It combines four coursework subjects with two double-weighted research projects. This ensures a balance of theoretical learning and research practice.

What Can You Do with this Qualification?
The purpose of the advanced graduate diploma is to further prepare you to become a psychologist. It builds on a Psychology Bachelor Degree or Graduate Diploma in Psychology.
If you're considering other careers, this program might not be the best fit. Your existing qualifications already open doors to roles in human resources, marketing, education, healthcare, and human services. Specialised studies in these fields might be more suitable if psychology isn't your calling.
