Is Adelaide Uni Going Online?
Yes, the new Adelaide University, formed from the merger of the University of Adelaide and the University of South Australia (UniSA), is set to transition to a predominantly online learning model starting in 2026. Face-to-face lectures will gradually be replaced by asynchronous digital activities, allowing students to learn at their own pace.
Currently, the combined online student enrolment figures from the universities show approximately 12,768 bachelor and 5,677 postgraduate students studying online. This already accounts for a significant portion of the total student body.
